In Court records Sept. 1816 of First Judicial Circuit Court in Washington County, Tennessee, Susannah along with Anne Clark, Henry Glaze and William Miller were summonded as witnesses. In the case of The State of Tennessee vs Hiram Clark, Hiram was accused of burglary. Hiram Clark is the brother of Anne Clark who became the wife of Isaac Gann, Susannah's brother. Susannah appeared in court again in session of July 1823 as was found guilty as charged and fined five dollars. Also in this session Susannah is charged with breaking the peace against Rosannah Harrison and fined one dollar, but a peace bond is acknowledge in the sum of $200 "to be levied off their goods and chattels respectively to be void on condition that the said Susannah Clark shall well and truly observe and keep the peace of the State towards all the good citizens of the State of Tennessee and especially toward Rosannah Harrison for the term of one year from this date." In the 1830 U.S. Census, Hiram and Susannah with two young males are shown living in Cocke Co., Tenn. In the 1840 U.S. Census, Hiram and Susannah along with one young male are found in Clay Twp in Lafayette Co., Missouri. From court records in Buchanan Co., Missouri, by the spring of 1844, they were living there with their son Witten J. Clark, In the 1850 census, the Hiram Clark family is shown living in Jackson Twp, Buchanan Co., Missouri. Hiram is listed as 56, farmer and "smith" real estate $2,400. It is assumed that Susannah was deceased between Oct. 1850 census and the first land sale Oct. 1852 by Hiram. No entries for Susannah or Hiram could be found in cemeteries in Jackson Twp where they land was located.
