Former County Teacher Dies: Mrs. Faye Gann Edwards, 64, died at her home in Bentonville at 1:00 o'clock this morning, after a long illness. She was born Feb. 5, 1896, and is a life-long resident of Benton County. She was educated in Benton county schools. She graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1923. A teacher for 16 years, she taught at Gateway, Hiwasse, Sulphur Springs Springs and Bentonville. She served as librarian of the Gravette high school and as librarian in McDonald county, Missouri for seven years. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church for 54 years. Funeral service will be be in the Mount Pleasant Church at 2:00 P.M. Monday, with Elder Tom Nether officiating, assisted by Elder Lee Norman. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery under the direction of Callison-McKinney Funeral Home. She is survived by her father W. T. Gann of Bentonville, her husband, W. R. Edwards of Bentonville: two daughters, Mrs. Wanda Webster of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Betty Beamon of Oildale, California, one son, Col. Bob E. Edwards, 9th Infantry, Fairbanks, Alaska: two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Brown and Mrs. Judy Patten, both of Norman, Oklahoma. Seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
