Martha Jane died in childbirth. The three children were reared in part bY their maiden aunts Rachel, Abigail, Mary and Hester and Uncle James Madison Gann who lived with the family and who in their joint will left all their estate to the descendants of James Morrison and Martha Jane Gann Brobeck. Relationship obtained from Deed of Partition dated 17 Mar 1860 by heirs of Daniel and Margaret Gann, Washington Co, TN, Deed Book 37, Pages 473-474.
