Gann...deposes and says: My age is 56 years, and I was born July 5th, year not known offhand. Occupation milling. Postoffice address, Guin, Ala. I have resided here practically all my life. The claimant, Mary A. Miller, is my mother, and my father was Smith W. Gann, the soldier. I was born here in Marion Co., Ala., and have always made my home here with the exception of a couple of years that I stayed in Franklin Co. Ala. I do not remember my father at all, as I was too young too remember when he died. I have been told that he died about a mile down the road here from Guin, Marion Co. Ala..." |
