Note | Obituary: Henry Oran Gann died Sunday afternoon Nov. 1, in a tractor accident near Breckenridge at the age of 68 years and 29 days. Mr. Gann, a son of Cora B. (Acres) Gann and Henry M. Gann was born in Daviess County near Lock Springs Oct. 2 1902. The family moved to Breckenridge when Oron was 10 years old. He attended school at both Lock Springs and Breckenridge. He was a retired farm hand and for the last 14 years had been employed by Ray Trosper of Breckenridge. Survivors are three sisters: Mrs. Blanche Chappell of Harrisberg, Oreg.; Mrs. Birdie Brown of Pinellas Park, Fla.; and Mrs. Belle Kennedy of Kidder and several nieces and nephews. The funeral was held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Mead-Pitts Funeral Chapel in Breckenridge with Rev. David Garlock officiating. Songs were by Mrs. J. W. Pitts who sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "How Great Thou Art" accompanied by Amanda Pittman at the organ. Pallbearers were Rex Bills, John Patrick, Harold Potts, Claude Kelly, Lewis Williamson and Darryl Nichols. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery. 5/7/94 |
