Lillie and Lewis lived on several farms in the Veal Creek community before moving to Graham.

Obituary in Graham, Texas newspaper, July 17, 1955. Mrs. J. L. Barron, 63, member of a pioneer Stephens County family, died Sunday evening at the Graham General Hospital. She had been ill several weeks. Funeral rites for Mrs. Barron were conducted 3 p.m. Tuesday from the Morningside Baptist Church. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Barron was born Feb. 13, 1892 in Stephens County, and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. S. [should be B.] P. Gann. She married J. L. Barron on August 3, 1907 (and to this union was born a son, Sgt. Wm. A. Barron, who was lost at sea August 25, 1944, in the service of his county during World War II). Mr. and Mrs. Barron had made their home in this city for the past 40 years. Survivors include her husband, J. L. Barron of Graham, a granddaughter, Mrs. Helen Williams, of Keller, Texas; a grandson, Donald E. Barron of Fort Worth, a sister, Mrs. Emma Cretsinger of Ivan, and six brothers, Smith Gann of Graham, John W. Gann of Mineral Wells, Wilburn Gann of Hamlin, Ernest Gann of Plainview, Melvin Gann of Caddo, and Riley Gann of Fort Worth.
