Note | Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune Nov. 26, 1963: Jeff Walker, 73, was dead upon arrival last night at the Chillicothe hospital. He had been in failing health several years but his death was sudden. Amos Jefferson Walker was born May 18, 1890, in the Sampsel community the son of Andrew and Verlinda Allnutt Walker. he attended the Sneed school and spent his lifetime in the Sampsel community, except for two years spent in World War I. He was a member of Mt. Olive Methodist Church and Lock Springs Masonic Lodge. On Oct. 13, 1920 he married Celia Frances Johnson in Chillicothe, who survives. Other survivors are three brothers, Scott, Frank and Fred Walker of Chillicothe; three sisters, Mrs. Ellen Renschler, Ponca City, Okla.; Mrs. Kate Gray, Spearman, Tex., and Mrs. Hulda Stockwell, Kansas City. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Mt. Olive Methodist Church with burial in Mt. Olive cemetery. |
