Marriage recorded in Cobb Co, GA Marriage Book 2, 1865-1876.

Edmund was living in Smyrna, Cobb Co, GA when he filed his pension application. He had first enlisted in spring of 1861. He enlisted second at Atlanta, GA in Co. A, 9th GA Battalion Artillery. This company surrendered on 9 Sep 1863 at Cumberline Gap, TN and Edmund was held at Camp Douglas in IL until June 1865 (end of war). The Affidavit of Proof of Marriage was witnessed by J. M. Gann. Edmund signed his name to pension papers--he did not use an "x."
