FROM WILLIAM R. GANN REGARDING ABOVE APRIL 5, 1824 DOCUMENT SIGNED APRIL 7th -- In all probability, this land transaction was made Adam C. Gann, who by the early 1830s was in deep trouble in a long standing lawsuit. Adam C. had left Washington County due to this and was eventually found in McMinn County in 1829. During the lawsuit, it was stated by a Broyles informant that Adam C. had “run off” with another man’s wife “to Indian territory.”
