Note

From Marie Dryden, Chillicothe, MO. From June Harting, West Bloomfield, MI !Serilda Robinson was a minister's daughter. Her father, Barton Stone Robinson, was the firs t minister of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, and he was also the pastor of the Olive Bapt ist Church near Gallatin, Missouri. Religion played an important role in Serilda's life, an d she probably met James Green Gann at church. One family photograph shows her pointing t o a Bible passage, very slender and solemn. One of her fondest hopes was realized when her s on, Barton, became a minister. She had asthma and passed away while she was still young.
