He passed away at the house of one of his daughters, Mrs. Ed Wohlcke near Seligman, Mo., where he was making his home. He was 88 years 2 months and 27 days old when he passed from this life. He professed a hope in Christ about 45 years ago, but never united with any church, always claiming he was prepared to meet his Savior. Surviving him are two daughters, Mrs. Eva Wohlcke and Mrs. Alley Lane, both near Seligman, Mo., and three sons, Geo. T. Gann of Garfield, Ark., R 2, Albert Gann of Lubbock, Texas and Noah Gann of Okla. One son and daughter called by death. With many grandchildren and great grandchildren. "Uncle Dock" as he was well known in SW Barry Co., Mo., and NE Benton Co., Ark where he grew to manhood and where he spent most of his life. His passing is the last of 13 children, 9 boys and 4 girls, he being the youngest of the boys, one sister being younger than he. He lived to a riper age than any of his family, he surpassed the age of his father more than 2 years. Source: Handwritten, possibly by W. T. Gann.
