Little Granny's first love (and husband) was LEH Guinn with whom she had a son, Robert. Mr. Guinn was murdered by robbers who thought that since he was the county treasurer he would have the money at his house. With a small son and a step daughter to raise, she later married Mr. Glass and had three more children. After Mr. Glass died, she married a Mr. Chambers, a Mr. Hornsby, and possibly more, and had at least one child, Aggie, who married a Mr. Brown Kerr. Little Granny was rumored to shop for husbands who had land and Confederate pensions, but only two applications for such pensions have been obtained. She, with her husbands, amassed quite a bit of land, which she farmed and rented out. When she died she was just a month short of 102, living atthe Confederate Widow's Home in Austin. Her daughter, Mrs. M. F. Arrington, was the person who maintained contact with the home, and eventually brought her to Harlingen to live with her in the Arrington home. Little Granny later went back to the home, where she died of old age.
