Note | From Craig Hubbard, 1847 Garnet St, Corona, CA 91710 12/28/95. Irvin was inducted into the Army at Marshall, MO on 14 May 1918 at age of 22 years and 5 months. He served in Company H, 64th Regiment until 25 May 1919 and in MG, Company 56, Infantry until his discharge on 5 July 1919. He was promoted to private and served overseas from 27 Aug 1918 to 27 Jun 1919. Irvin was known as "Poppa" to all his children and grandchildren. He and his wife, Ethel, were very active in the Assembly of God Church in Marshall, MO. They would frequently visit and pray for and with the sick and troubled. Irvin was a grocer. |
