| Injury in 1881 | Sandy Milne was working with a fellow carpenter on a scafold at the griffs house yesterday when it broke and precipitated them to the ground, a distance of 15 feet. Milne fell on his head and shoulder, bruising himself considerably. His companion managed to drop upon him and thus escaped uninjured. Local Melange, Thursday, December 22, 1881 Paper: Grand Forks Daily Herald (Grand Forks, North Dakota) Volume: I Issue: 44 Page: 1 |
| Death | Likely record, tombstone in Woodlawn Cemetery, Spokane Co WA, has Alexander Milne with correct birthdate. No other info. |
| Shared note | It is likely that the two wives of Alexander Milne, Mary Jane Welland and Margaret Millen, are actually the same person - based on their ages and children's ages. In addition the marriage record for Mary Jane Welland says that her father was Hugh Millen and her mother's name was Dorothy. Margaret's father was named Hugh Millen and her mother was also named Dorothy, according to other family records. |
