He had one full brother, John "Jack" Rogers and several half-brothers and sisters. His father died in about 1859. His mother remarried Richmond Bennett. William married Wealthy Clementine Hodges in 1888. They had the following children, now deceased: Lula, Dillon, Sarah R, Gilbert L, Elbert F, Renvey E, John C, Charles R and Lillie B. Clementine passed away in 1901. William married Mary Frances Sanders in 1907. Deceased children are: Zeffie, Terry L, Winnie F and Mary Rita.
