| Death | Obituary On July 1, 2024, our matriarch, Celia Rosales Gomez transitioned to eternal life, leaving behind a legacy of love and inspiration that will live-on in those whose lives she touched. Celia was born on December 22,1935 in El Paso, Texas, where she attended Jefferson High School, graduating with honors. After working for much of her life, Celia spent her happiest years dedicated to her family. Celia is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Sergio Gomez, Sr. and her son, Jaime Gomez. She leaves behind her children, Sergio Gomez, Jr. and Dexiang Zhang, Sonia Mendoza, Frances Hargrove, Leticia McCabe, and Glenn McCabe. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren, Arielle Rosales-Padilla and Darryl Padilla, Xiu Jie, Shimo Li, Anthony Mendoza, Diego and Aviana Mendoza, Gabriel Mendoza, Alyssa Mendoza, Thiago Mendoza, Leela Gomez, and Seth McCabe. A mass in Celia’s honor will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, 3021 Frutas Avenue, El Paso Texas 79905. |
