| Burial | Findagrave Entry for Martha Jane Bennett Pruitt: Sep. 30, 1861,Trinity County,Texas Death: Aug. 6, 1943,Anson,Texas Mrs. Martha Pruitt Funeral at Bronte -- ANSON, Aug 6--(Spl.)--Funeral for Mrs. Martha Jane Pruitt is to be held at Bronte Saturday at 4 p.m. Mrs. Pruitt, born Bennett, was born Sept. 30, 1861 and in 1879 married J. W. Pruitt. Five children of 12 survive: J. E. Pruitt, C. E. of San Angelo, J. B. of Anson, Mrs. J. E. Warner of Anson and W. E. Spencer of Stamford, and an adopted daughter, Mrs. Todd Robertson of Anson; 24 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in the Bronte Cemetery with the Lawrence Funeral Home in charge.
