Obituary Broken Arrow Daily Ledger 20 January 2004 page 3 Bill Rosser Funeral services for Bill Rosser were held at 3 p.m. today at Faith Fellowship Church in Broken Arrow, with Reverend Leon Dashner officiating. Burial followed at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home. Billy Ray Rosser was born Oct. 2, 1931, in Coweta to Rufus and Lena (Gann) Rosser. He died at his home in Broken Arrow on Friday, January 16, 2004. He was 72. He was a 1948 graduated of Coweta High School and a lifelong resident of the Broken Arrow area. He was marriet to and spent the past 36 years with the former Stella Cogburn. He was a U. S. Navy veteran and served in the Korean War. He worked in pipeline construction for most of his life. He was an avid Oklahoma Sooner and Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed fishing and the rodeo, where he competed in calf roping. Mr. Rosser was preceded in death by his parents; sister Donna Hess; and brothers Olen and Donald Lee Rosser. Survivors include his wife, Stella; sisters Mary Lou and husband Clyde Hummingbird of Bixby, Elma Jo Hamilton of Coweta, Shirley and husband Otis Tune of Bixby and Sherry and husband Billy Ray Cooper of Bixby; two brothers H. and wife Hollie Rosser and Gary and wife Judy Rosser both of Broken Arrow. |
