Note | It is likely that Stella died in 1890, but it is not clear. The following article appeared in the Wayne County newspaper:, taken from WAYNE COUNTY IL DEATH NOTICE AND OBITUARIES, 1880-1890. July 3, 1890. "Word received here las week of the death of Miss Etta MIZE at the home ofher sister, Mrs. Frank Murphy, in Missouri, where she went a few weeks ago." The article was in error - since Etta did not died until 1943. The deaths of the other Mize sisters are known, so the sister who died must have been Stella. |
