Death | Wayne County Press Fairfield IL., Monday,Feb. 21, 1983 Page 8 Maxine Gaddis Dies Out West Word has been received of the death of former Fairfield resident, Maxine Gaddis Knowles, who died Feb. 10, 1983, at her home in Point Richmond, Calif., following a longterm illness. Mrs. Knowles was the daughter of the well-known Fairfield couple, Burt N. and Maude Gaddis. Mr. Gaddis owned the Phoenix Flour Mill at Fairfield during the 1920's. She attended school here, but has been gone from the Fairfield area for many years. Survivors include her husband, two sons, Rev. Harold Knowles, of Pasadena, Calif., and Jack Knowles, of San Francisco, Calif.; a daughter, Linda; and one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Bing, of Mayfield, Ky. |
