From Findagrave for Cary Cotton Parents: Weaver Cotton (1768 - 1836) Millie Robertson (1766 - ____) Cary moved from Kettle Creek, the site of an important Revolutionary War Battle in Wilkes Co, Ga, to Coweta Co, Ga sometime before the 1830 Census. He moved to Coosa Co, Al after the 1850 Census and before the 1860 Census. He settled along or near Brown Road, now Hwy 49, between Hanover and Mt Olive communities in Coosa County and became a prominent citizen. Shortly thereafter he was followed by John Weaver and Mariah Hindsman Cotton.
