There is no doubt that the Francis McCabe, pensioner of the British Army, is one and the same as the Francis McCabe who came from Magheracloone Monaghan in 1827, settled Conc 10 Lot 11, married the Widow Muldoon and died in Aug 1862 leaving land to his children in Ops, including Francis McCabe of Laxton. Francis McCabe Death Recorded in British War Office Records, WO 120/70 Francis's Patent for Conc 10 Lot 11 clearly shows he was Pensioner of 7th RGV

Shared note	SIMON came from Ireland in 1851 through Buffalo(Imm Docu 20206) port to OPS. He homesteaded in Eaton, Manitowoc, WI in 1854. Evidently he moved back and forth beween OPS and Eaton until about 1865. When "Old" Francis, Simon's father, died in 1862, his will named Simon's son Frank to inherite a section of Francis' land, but I see no evidence that Simon ever gave the land to Frank, before Simon prematurely died in 1871.
