Note: The death of John Still was difficult to determine for many years. The name in the St Mary Le Strand records was incorrectly given as John Hill of 7 Feathers Court in Westminster, a known address of the Still family. A close look at the original burial ground records (Film Roll 21, St Mary Le Strand Parish, Westminster Archives), shows that the correct name was actually John Still age 44. Buried in Russell Court Ground.

Note

There is no doubt that Elizabeth Oliver is the sister of William STILL. The will of William's brother John STILL in London memtions Elizabeth and James Oliver and a copy of information taken from a family Bible held by Virginia Gaddis of Washington DC (wife of descendent of William and Priscilla SUMMERS) also confirms the relation.

Some of the children of James and Elizabeth Oliver followed their cousins to Warrick Co IN. The 1881 census of Green, Warrick Co, IN has:

John Oliver 33 England Elizabeth Oliver 31 IN Charles 5 IN Edwin 5 IN

and Edward Oliver 34 England is shown to be working on a farm in Campbell, Warrick, IN.

WITNESSES of Marriage-Mary STILL and Edwin OLIVER

Note

This is most certainly the sister and brother-in-law of William Still. Church records, John Still's will, and William Still's family's bible of 1859 support this relationship.
