One of the Muldoon females Jane Muldoon married her neighbor Michael McCabe and (I believe her sister) Ann Muldoon married her neighbor George Downey. Unproved, but likely. In 1861 William Muldoon wrote a letter supporting Ann Muldoon's husband George Downey in his application for a land patent. Arthur Muldoon's obituary stated he came to Canada with his brother and 3 sisters.

Note: When the Ontario government began to give patents for land in the mid 1800s, each existing settler had to prove he had been resident on the land for a minimum time. In 1861 William Muldoon (Conc 7 Lot 11) wrote a letter supporting George Downey's application for a patent on Concession 8, Lot 6. He stated that Downey had been living on the land for at least 17 years. I believe this letter supports the theory that George Downey's wife Ann Muldoon Downey was William's sister.
