This is the only Ann McCabe recorded in NYC who arrived in 1838. This entry states Ann McCabe was Irish, 16 years old, and bound for Upper Canada (Ontario.) She bought with her cash, a box and a bed. It is NOT certain that this is Francis' daughter but I consider it likely. Birth	We know Francis had several children but not all of their names were known. On 12 Sept 2024 a newspaper article from 1838 was found that named Anne McCabe as a missing daughter of Francis McCabe. She was last seen in NY city about 1838.
Immigration	Francis McCabe's 1840 appeal for whereabouts of his daughter stated that she came in approximately 1838 and was now 18 years old. This is the only Ann McCabe recorded in NYC who arrived in 1838. This entry states Ann McCabe was Irish, 16 years old, and bound for Upper Canada (Ontario.) She bought with her cash, a box and a bed. It is NOT certain that this is Francis' daughter but I consider it likely.
