Death | Obituary Collin Wade Gann, 22, passed away February 5, 2025. He was born February 5, 2003 in Houston, Texas. He was a fighter from the very beginning, born at only 25 1/2 weeks and the size of a beanie baby. Collin grew to be a very curious child and was always interested in how things worked. He was found on many occasions dismantling a lamp, among other things. Collin's joyful, loving spirit shined through as he grew to be a young man. He most enjoyed gathering with family and friends to celebrate life. Collin was known for his love of pasta and chocolate. Not just any chocolate either, he wanted the good stuff. He was quite the chocolate connoisseur. Collin considered graduating from high school his greatest accomplishment. This was no small feat as his muscle weakness progressed. He loved being in school with his friends. Collin would often surprise us all with his knowledge of electronics. He loved to use YouTube to learn all about phones, televisions and automobiles. He was full of helpful information about the special little things they could do. Collin’s love for people and his desire to be helpful and joyful was his gift from God. Collin was a gift from God to the rest of us. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bobby Skinner; his paternal grandmother Ann Nell Gann and brother Ryan Standlee. Survivors include his parents Dennis Neal Gann and Leslie Roxann Skinner; maternal grandmother Carolyn Feakes; paternal grandfather Jim Gann; sisters Lacy Buckley (Alex) and Chloe Brooke Gann; brother Garret Gann (Kristin); nephew Walker Buckley and nieces Grace Nelson and Paisley Gann. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, February 10, 2025 at the First Baptist Church in Bay City with Dr. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Matagorda Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Garret Gann, Alex Buckley, Chloe Gann, Zach Hill, Brad Schwartz, and Austin Skinner. |
