!Conway Chronical--Jul 29 1943: James H. Gann, son of Mr. & Mrs. Cabb Gann, was born March 11, 1856 in Dallas Co and departed this life July 15, 1943 at the home of his son, Andrew Gann, at the age of 87 years 4 months and 4 days. He was united in marriage to Lucinda Gann in 1883. To this union was born seven children, five sons and two daughters. Ira who preceded him in death, Andrew of Conway, Ebb of El Dorado, Ks, Gaily of Lebanon, Orvil of Conway, Mrs. Allie Ford of El Dorado, KS and Mrs. Lillie Meldrum who also preceded him in death. There are 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Uncle Jim as he was known to most everyone spent his entire life in Dallas Co. He will be sadly missed by his many friends and relatives. The funeral was conducted at the Marlin Cemetery at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon by Rev. Milton Wilkerson.
