!Enlisted in the Confederate Army Sept. 2, 1863, was caputred near Petersburg, VA., July 30, 1864. He was confined at Point Lookout, NY, until he was transferred to Elmira, NY, Aug. 8, 1864. He was paroled at Elmira on October 11, 1864, and transferred to Venus Point, Savannah River, GA, where he was received November 15, 1864, for exchange. It is unknown whether or not the exchange ever took place. He either died in Georgia, or shortly after the exchange, as he was dead by 1865.
