Name | Arthur and William Muldoon had the only Muldoon families in Ops in the 1840s. Arthur and William Muldoon were both settlers on Concession 7 and George Downey settled on Concession 8 nearby. In 1861 William Muldoon (Conc 7 Lot 11) wrote a letter supporting George Downey's application for a patent on Concession 8, Lot 6. He stated that Downey had been living on the land for at least 17 years. I believe this letter supports the theory that George Downey's wife Ann Muldoon Downey was William's sister.
