Barbara was named with surname Trejo (Trexo) in grandchild Maria's baptism and named Herrera in grandson Jose Santiago's baptism. The baptism records in the 1790s for children of Jose Antonio Muela state that his wife was named Barbara Trexo or, sometimes, Barbara Herrera, which clearly show that the two are the same person. Barbara Herrera later married Juan de Dios Rivas in 1804. The 1843 baptism record of her granddaughter Josefa stated her name was Barbara Soto.
